| Other Info | This is a 3 month Introduction to Roller Derby Skating course, during the first 3 months you will learn all the basic moves needed to skate Derby; stance, stride and technique, this will be the foundation your Derby skills will be built on. It is an intensive course designed to teach you the minimum skill level required to participate in team practice, when you have passed the minimum skill requirement you will then be able to join in more advanced practices (currently Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons) where you will learn to skate as part of the team and become eligible for team selection. The first skate is free, after that it is £7 per session to skate. To skate you need, skates, knee/ elbow/ wrist guards and a helmet and a mouth guard. We can only provide a limited number of skates, so we advise people to have their own, if you need to borrow skates, please to get in touch in advance, (and tell us your size!) as we cannot guarantee that we can provide skates for everyone.
